France’s blood collection service said cyberattacks affected cold-storage monitoring and control systems at three of its sites. The incidents occurred alongside attacks on supermarket refrigerators across the European Union, though the service said it was not directly targeted.
The French Blood Establishment said on Tuesday that temperature and defrosting thresholds in the systems were raised to very high levels. It reported that no blood samples or products were compromised.
