A small number of demonstrators gathered at Frankfurt’s Hauptwache to protest against alleged police violence during Gen Z demonstrations and criticize what they described as the criminalization of the protests. Social media appeals had called for people to meet in the city center, but only a few attended. Speakers also said migrants were being deliberately defamed.

Police are continuing to review numerous videos showing people breaking shop windows and looting businesses. The police headquarters said it was confident that initial results identifying suspected offenders would be available soon.

Separately, Hesse police reported two cases of sharp objects found in Halloween treats. In Krofdorf-Gleiberg, a child noticed a roughly three-centimeter pin inside a chewy sweet before eating it. In Trebur, a 10-year-old found a closed safety pin in a chocolate lollipop and spat it out after noticing it in her mouth.

Police advised families to check Halloween sweets for punctures, damaged packaging or other irregularities. Anyone finding suspicious items should keep them with their packaging and contact police; parents were asked not to remove foreign objects themselves so evidence could be preserved.

After the Frankfurt unrest, a manager representing emergency medical workers said authorities should consider equipping paramedics with body cameras and ambulances with dashcams. He recalled that the atmosphere at the scenes had felt threatening, despite staff wearing protective clothing and helmets. He also said colleagues would be reminded to keep helmets readily accessible in their vehicles.
