Cyberattacks in Italy have had a limited impact, and authorities have identified no cases of risk to public health linked to thawing, Palazzo Chigi said in a statement. Any reports of anomalies are passed by the National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) to the Carabinieri’s NAS unit to enable a timely response.
The statement followed a meeting involving Undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano, Agriculture Minister Francesco Lollobrigida, security service leaders and officials from the ACN. The agency is also meeting representatives of the sectors concerned and managers from major industry operators.
Palazzo Chigi said there was no cause for alarm, while stressing that the relevant institutions continue to exercise the highest level of vigilance.
