Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has paid tribute to Simone, Claudio, Franco Adriano and Laura, four military personnel who lost their lives in Bosnia while serving Italy. She said her thoughts were with them and their loved ones.

Meloni and Defence Minister Guido Crosetto laid a bouquet of roses at the Defence Village at Rome’s Circo Massimo. The site was set up ahead of November 4 and, Meloni said, was intended as a place where the public could gather in remembrance.

In a post on X, Meloni invited anyone visiting the Circo Massimo to bring a flower as a gesture of affection, respect and gratitude. She also referred to supporting the wounded and their families during a difficult time.
