The Café da Manhã podcast has interviewed André Singer, the political scientist credited with coining the concept of Lulism, to examine what Brazil’s fourth Lula government may look like and what it could mean for the movement.
Singer, a professor of political science at the University of São Paulo and author of the recently published “Impasse: O Brasil Diante da Onda Reacionária,” discusses the significance of Lula’s victory and the role the opposition may play. The episode also comes as Lula holds political meetings on forming his new cabinet and the changes in direction he has promised for his current term. The government’s priorities include economic issues, the Security PEC and the budget.
The episode is available on Spotify. Café da Manhã is published from Monday to Friday and is presented by journalists Gabriela Mayer and Gustavo Simon.
