Hampshire Police is searching for an unknown group accused of stabbing five teenage boys at a Halloween party in Chandler’s Ford. The incident took place at a house in Park Road shortly after 22:30 GMT on Saturday.
Three of the victims are aged 16 and two are aged 17. All five were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who attended the party or witnessed what happened to come forward. Police are also seeking footage, including doorbell-camera recordings, from Park Road and surrounding areas.
Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Pirie said officers were trying to identify people who may have seen the incident, recorded relevant footage or could help identify the group involved.
Cordons have been placed along Park Road and Valley Road while officers speak with witnesses and check nearby homes for video recordings. Police have also contacted residents in neighbouring houses and other nearby streets.
Eastleigh MP Liz Jarvis expressed shock at the incident and said her thoughts were with the injured boys, their parents and the wider community. She urged people to remain calm, avoid sharing misinformation online and allow police to investigate.
Churches in Chandler’s Ford are opening their doors to offer support. St Boniface Church in Hursley Road will be available from 09:00 to 17:00 during the week, while St Martin in the Wood on Queen’s Road will open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 15:00 to 17:00 for reflection or lighting a candle.
