Royal Mail has unveiled its 2026 Christmas stamp collection, featuring five scenes from the Nativity. The designs show Mary and Joseph travelling, the baby Jesus, an angel, shepherds and the Three Wise Men.
The collection was created jointly by graphic designer Gareth Howat and illustrator Rebecca Sutherland. Sutherland said it was an “absolute honour” to illustrate the stamps, adding that she had loved and collected stamps since childhood.
This year’s release marks the 60th anniversary of the first Christmas special stamp, issued in December 1966 after a children’s art competition was announced by then-postmaster Tony Benn.
Recent Christmas stamp collections have featured snowy scenes of UK cathedrals and lyrics from well-known carols. The 2025 collection also depicted Nativity scenes.
