Salvini says he knew nothing about school cuts and promises proposals

Matteo Salvini said he had not known about the planned cuts to the school sector and that his party would present proposals in response.

“Cuts affecting schools are certainly something to consider at this time,” Salvini said, speaking on the sidelines of Eicma, the international motorcycle show. He added that the League would put forward proposals.

Asked whether he had expected the cuts in the budget package, Salvini replied that he had known nothing about them.
