Spain's National Police arrested two more individuals, one of them a minor, in Fuengirola (Málaga) on Saturday night over their alleged links to the so-called 'Blocus' youth movement, according to a police statement. The arrests add to that of a 20-year-old who was also detained in the province.
Police said the two were located as they prepared to commit acts of vandalism in the city. Both were active participants in instant messaging channels that called for looting and pillaging at shops in Fuengirola and Marbella, the statement said.
The adult detainee was the administrator of the group coordinating actions in 'Blocus Fuengirola', police said. He set out the modus operandi for other members and encouraged them to carry out sabotage and damage. Investigators identified the suspects during the week, leading to their arrest in a preventive police operation on Saturday night.
The two are considered alleged perpetrators of conspiracy to commit public disorder, conspiracy to commit crimes against property and membership of an organised group. In just four days, the National Police have arrested seven young people for alleged links to the movement in Valencia, Bilbao, Málaga and Fuengirola.
