Paris is known for its façades, but the entrances of ordinary apartment buildings may hold their own architectural treasures. A new photo book explores these overlooked spaces, according to the report.
The book follows the success of Karl Kolbitz’s 2017 volume “Ingressi di Milano,” published by Taschen. It brought together 144 entrances in Milan dating from 1920 to 1970, designed by prominent modernists including Gio Ponti, Piero Portaluppi and Luigi Caccia Dominioni, as well as architects whose names are now less familiar.
The new Paris-focused project shifts the lens to the interiors and entryways that visitors may miss when admiring the city from the street.
