À Punt, the Valencian public television broadcaster, has withdrawn La mort de Guillem from its schedule at the last minute, despite promoting the film throughout the weekend. The film, which the broadcaster co-produced, recounts the killing of young antifascist Guillem Agulló by far-right extremists.

The movie had been scheduled for broadcast on Monday at 10:45 p.m., but was removed from the listings on Monday morning. It will instead be replaced by M'esperaràs, a comedy by theatre director Carles Alberola.

In statements reported by elDiario.es, public broadcaster sources said À Punt had been running a cycle of Valencian-language films during Monday prime time for several weeks and would continue doing so in the coming weeks. They said the decision to show a comedy that night instead of the previously announced film was made for programming reasons.

The change comes days before Guillem Agulló's family is due to present a campaign in Madrid calling on the Spanish government to recognise the young antifascist as a victim of terrorism. The initiative is supported by Consuelo Ordóñez, president of the Collective of Victims of Terrorism, along with other figures from across Spain.
