BMW has lowered its forecast for 2026 for a second time, saying it now expects an automotive margin of plus or minus 0.5%. The company had announced the revision on Tuesday evening, citing write-downs that are due to be recorded in the fourth quarter. Its China business is also weighing on profits, according to the business ticker’s headline.
New BMW chief executive Milan Nedeljkovic is reviewing the company’s model range and plans to take some older electric models off the market ahead of schedule.
The figures and developments were reported in a business liveblog that also covered results and changes at other companies, including Fresenius, Bayer, Schaeffler and Evonik.
