French influencer Osmose, whose Instagram account has around 44,200 followers, was taken into police custody on October 22 following a report filed through the Pharos platform about one of her posts. The Vesoul prosecutor’s office confirmed that an investigation had been opened into alleged “public incitement, not followed by effect, to commit a crime or offence.” The prosecutor declined to comment further on the ongoing case.
The post, published on October 20 and no longer accessible on Osmose’s account, listed addresses of what it called targets—including business executives, media outlets and company headquarters—to “target and smash” during the October 24 mobilisation, according to Le Monde, which said it had reviewed the publication.
Osmose told the newspaper she did not write the post, while acknowledging that it had appeared on her account. She declined to reveal her identity and criticised what she described as an intense climate of repression.
The case follows proceedings involving another content creator, Manon Delcourt, who has 149,000 Instagram followers. In a statement shared with Le Monde and later posted on her account, her lawyer, Sonia Boundaoui, said Delcourt had been arrested at Orly Airport on October 22. The initial allegation cited by the lawyer was direct incitement to commit a terrorist act through an online public communication service, following a Pharos report on October 16 concerning three posts on X.
Delcourt later told her followers in an Instagram story that she had been released after 26 hours in custody. Both creators are now subject to investigations.
