More than 1,200 items from the personal belongings of German folk singer Heino and his late wife, Hannelore, are being auctioned in Klagenfurt, Austria. The sale runs until November 20, and its proceeds could reach €100,000, according to the report. The money will go to Heino and his manager, Helmut Werner.
The lots range from a long-used marital bed and a Bentley to a Nintendo Game Boy Advance whose working condition has not been checked, family photographs, a hunting rifle and a collection of Hannelore’s hair accessories. Even an unopened Nivea aftershave balm has attracted a bid. Werner said the items were gathered while clearing four households in Mallorca, Florida, Bad Münstereifel and Kitzbühel.
Werner, 42, is Heino’s sole heir. He and his family live with the singer in his villa in Kitzbühel, which has already been transferred to Werner. He is also expected to receive Heino’s music rights. Heino’s son, Uwe Kramm, is set to be largely disinherited; the two have said they are no longer in contact.
Werner said the auction is not primarily about raising money. Heino wants to clear out possessions he no longer needs and avoid leaving others to deal with them after his death. A portrait of the singer is being auctioned for the Ein Herz für Kinder charity; the other proceeds will go to Heino and Werner.
The Bentley, described as the last car Heino drove himself, has a minimum price of €25,000 and has already received a bid at that level. A blue BMW convertible belonging to Hannelore is also for sale. Heino continues to perform, and Werner has planned a 2027 tour titled “Made in Germany Vol. 2.”
