A third teenage boy has been taken into custody following a violent incident at a Halloween party in Hampshire, where five teenagers sustained stab wounds. Police responded to reports of an attack on Park Road in Chandler's Ford shortly after 22:30 GMT on Saturday, discovering that an unknown group had gained entry to the event.

Among the five victims, who are aged between 16 and 17, two remain in hospital with serious injuries. One 17-year-old is currently in a life-threatening condition, while the other three have been discharged. The latest arrest involves a 16-year-old boy from Bristol, who is being held on suspicion of attempted murder. He joins two other boys who were arrested on Monday and are also remaining in custody.

Witnesses told the BBC that the violence erupted after a group entered the property by climbing over a garden fence, though the specific motive for the stabbings remains unclear. One teenager described seeing an acquaintance pull up their shirt to reveal a wound before later finding them lying outside the house with someone compressing the injury.

Hampshire Police have cordoned off sections of Park Road and the adjoining Valley Road as officers continue to review video footage and witness statements to reconstruct the events of the night. Det Ch Insp Elizabeth Pirie, the senior investigating officer, thanked the public for coming forward with information and footage. She emphasized that while three suspects are now in custody, investigators are still seeking any details that could assist in identifying all those involved.
