Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is expected to arrive at Germany’s Chancellery during an unannounced visit to Berlin, according to a live report on the war in Ukraine. The report did not provide further details about the visit.

Hundreds of thousands of households in Ukraine are without electricity. In the southern Odesa region, emergency power cuts followed an attack that severely damaged a facility belonging to private energy company DTEK. The company said the site had come under repeated attack over the past two months and that repairs were expected to take a long time.

In Kharkiv, more than 60 people were injured in an attack on a hospital, according to the report. Mayor Ihor Terekhov said detonations damaged around 1,000 windows in the hospital and nearby homes. He had said the city was being attacked with ballistic missiles and glide bombs.

The death toll from a Russian attack in Komyshuvakha, in the Zaporizhzhia region, rose to 29, regional administration head Mykhailo Semikin said. Five people were injured and 48 remained missing as search and rescue operations continued. Zelenskyy said the attack targeted a school being used for humanitarian purposes.

The report also said a multinational Ukraine force held its first exercise in Poland. Its deployment depends on an agreement with Russia on a ceasefire, following a declaration of intent signed earlier in the year by French President Emmanuel Macron, Zelenskyy and then-British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
