Italy’s budget law provides for a €100 million annual reduction in spending authorized for the economic component of the Inclusion Allowance from 2027 onward.
The measure is based on the results of monitoring the costs associated with the benefit. According to the technical report accompanying the law, the reduction applies only to the specified amount and will not compromise recognition of the services and benefits provided for under existing legislation.
The measure therefore concerns the spending authorization rather than the eligibility rules for the Inclusion Allowance.
